Music
Music ignites all areas of child development. It helps the body and the mind work together, sparking brain development. In addition to the developmental benefits of music, it provides us with joy.
Music Classes
A great introduction of musical knowledge that will lead to a life long love of music! Students in this class will learn the basics of rhythm through reading rhythmic notation, learning to keep time to music, and basic hand drumming skills. They will also gain knowledge of harmony and melody by learning the notes on the piano, learning the major and minor scales, basic chords, and chord progressions. Students will also listen to music to analyze the instrumentation, song form, and chord progressions. New students will receive a recorder, fingering scale, and music book as part of their class materials. Ages 5-8
Instrumental Lessons
(Drum set, Piano, Ukulele, Guitar, Bass, Violin, Recorder)
Lessons focus on reading music, proper technique, composition, music styles, playing to music, soloing, and instrument tuning/maintenance. Levels are beginning, intermediate, and advanced. Instructors will audition and assess student levels. Lessons are 30 minutes for 7 weeks.
