Are you looking for a preschool program for your 3- or 4-year-old child?
Families who receive TCA, SNAP, or SSI are eligible, FREE of charge, for the YMCA of Frederick County Head Start Program. Other families of low or limited income may also be eligible.
The YMCA of Frederick County Head Start Program is
- FREE full-day school-readiness program for three- and four-year-old children who reside in Frederick County, Maryland.
- Provides breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack during classroom hours.
- The program includes comprehensive services designed to support eligible families and encourage developmentally appropriate learning for children including fun and engaging family learning events occur throughout the year. These events are FREE and fun for the whole family. They encourage learning, honor families and parents as the most important people in their children’s lives, and support the idea that children’s learning is enriched when families and education programs work together. Some examples of Head Start Family Events include Outdoor Movie Night, Downtown Frederick Scavenger walks, Learning Parties, and Healthy Kids Day.
