Head Start Winter Clothing Drive

Thanks to our friends at the Knights of Columbus and O’Connor Plumbing, we actually have plenty of coats for our Head Start families this year! So we are doing a winter clothing drive for other items needed. There are three ways to give:

  1. Online with a cash donation
  2. Purchase from our Amazon Wish List (and it will be shipped directly to us!)
  3. At any YMCA branch: choose an ornament off the Giving Tree, purchase a new item, tape the ornament on the item, and put it under the tree! (Tree will be up mid November through early December)

Clothing sizes: 4T, 5T, 6T, Youth XS and Youth S; Boots: 9T, 10 little kid, 11 little kid, 12 little kid, 13 little kid.

The Winter Clothing Drive will run from November 1-December 15, allowing time to organize and distribute to our Head Start families the last week of school before break.

The Head Start program provides comprehensive education, social, health, and nutrition services to eligible three and four-year-old children and their families in eight locations. Children participate in appropriate educational experiences, field trips, nutritional meals, and health screenings. They also receive limited transportation services, referrals for disability and mental health issues, and school transition services. Family involvement in the program is encouraged and assistance is given in obtaining needed social services. If you or anyone you know could benefit from the Head Start program and can meet Federal eligibility guidelines, please call or stop by our Head Start office today.
