In MAD Dance’s new work, “Portal,” movement artists Kitty Clark and Ray Shaw have collaborated with poet and climate justice advocate Neha Misra नेहा मिश्रा and composer Cam Millar. The piece is a call to reconnect, get grounded, and face our collective crises with urgency and empathy as we emerge out of pandemic lockdowns and remember how to connect with ourselves, others, and our planet.
Misra’s impactful poem is both poignant and a call to action. Millar’s sound score incorporates sounds from nature while driving the piece forward. Clark and Shaw, in their signature style, have created an immersive environment in which contemplation and action sit side-by-side.
The venue is intimate, every seat is front row, and tickets are limited to 50! Sliding scale tickets starting at $1.00 – please pay what works for your budget.
