Open Mic Night (Vocal/Instrumental)

Rick Hill, folk musician and songwriter, will host a new Open Mic at the Y Arts Center, 115 E. Church St. Frederick, MD  from 7-9 PM.

A $5 donation is requested.  This will be all acoustic, no sound system will be used.

There will be 12 slots available.  Sign-ups begin at 6:30 on Friday.  Each act will get two songs or 10 minutes.

F.A.M.E. ran the Open Mic at Sky Stage, but with winter pressing in, they wanted a place that was heated and covered. Frederick Acoustic Music Enterprise (F.A.M.E.) and the YMCA of Frederick County are collaborating to offer local musicians an opportunity to get in front of a crowd and perform.  The Y Arts Center has a fantastic room with great acoustics, so no sound system is needed.
