Eight Healthy Recipes to Try During National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month and the YMCA of Frederick County has collected eight recipes from other Ys nationwide that you can try with your family! These delicious and nutritious recipes will surely be a big hit at the dinner table.

Research shows that without proper nourishment, children have trouble concentrating in school, which can result in lower academic achievement. Our mission at the Y is to ensure all children have regular access to nutritious meals to reach their full potential. Working with Blessings in a Backpack, our Head Start families receive bags of food. We also bring fresh, affordable produce to Frederick County at our Community Produce Market, where SNAP recipients receive $10 in free produce each week subsidized by the YMCA through our Annual Campaign.
