The YMCA’s Before & Afterschool Enrichment (BASE) program provides safe, structured care for school-age children before and after the school day. BASE supports families with consistent routines, homework help, engaging activities, and nurturing staff who create a welcoming space for learning and connection.
Programs operate at multiple elementary schools across Frederick County, giving children a positive start and finish to each day in a familiar environment. With a focus on character development, healthy habits, and peer relationships, BASE helps children grow emotionally, socially, and academically.
