Massage therapy helps to: Reduce stress, promote healing, relieve muscle tension and stiffness, and increase flexibility. Flexible hours are available throughout the week. Please inquire at the Health and Wellness Kiosk or call the Y at 301-663-5131 x1245 to schedule an appointment. You must pay in person at the Member Services Desk prior to your appointment.

Please note that a 24 hour notice is required to cancel an appointment. A charge equal to the amount of the scheduled massage will be charged if notice is not received or there is a “no show.”
Swedish Relaxation Massage
The classic relaxing full body massage using long, smooth strokes to soothe aches and pains and relieve stress and tension. (60/90 min.)
Deep Tissue Massage
A therapeutic massage designed for individuals who want a more intense, detailed massage to relieve chronic tension in specific muscle groups. (30/60/90 min.)
Trigger Point Therapy Massage
Painful. irritated areas in muscles are worked using concentrated finger pressure on specific contact areas to break the cycle of spasm and pain. Often an entire area (trigger points) can be relaxed with the release of the various trigger points. (60/90 min.)
Sports Massage
Pre & Posts Sports events. A firm massage that will aid in relieving sore, tired muscles; it incorporates a number of techniques and active assisted stretching to relax the muscles and increase range of motion, improving circulation and relieving tension. (30/60 min.)
Foot Reflexology
a 4,000-year-old technique that focuses on the feet, an area which contains reflex points that correspond to all of the organs in the body. This extensive foot treatment relieves stress, revitalizes and rejuvenates. (30 min.)
Pre-Natal Massage
It’s a comforting massage focused especially for expectant mothers 3-8 months. Pre-Natal massage improves overall spirit, mind, body and emotions. Specifically for swelling, aches and pains, especially back pain (30/60 min.)
Oncology Massage
Clinical assessments and adaptations to the massage session for someone experiencing cancer or with a history of cancer treatment are critical to providing a safe massage. For people in active treatment.
