Access for All
At the YMCA of Frederick County, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to grow, thrive, and belong—regardless of income. Financial assistance helps remove barriers so individuals and families can participate in memberships, childcare, camps, swim lessons, and programs that support health and well-being.
Assistance is made possible through the generosity of donors who give to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign and special events. Our goal is to ensure access, dignity, and opportunity for all members of our community.
How Assistance Works
Financial assistance is available for YMCA memberships and many programs, including childcare, before and after school care, and summer camp. Awards are based on household income, family size, and available funding, and are designed to be flexible and confidential.
Our team works with each applicant to determine an appropriate level of support, ensuring families can participate while maintaining program sustainability. Assistance is applied directly to membership or program fees.
