Massage

Relax with a Swedish, deep tissue or sports massage at the YMCA, performed by our Maryland State Certified and NCTMB Certified massage practitioners. Massage therapy helps to: Reduce stress, promote healing, relieve muscle tension and stiffness, and increase flexibility.

Swedish Relaxation Massage

The classic relaxing full body massage using long, smooth strokes to soothe aches and pains and relieve stress and tension. (60/90 min.)

Deep Tissue Massage

A therapeutic massage designed for individuals who want a more intense, detailed massage to relieve chronic tension in specific muscle groups. (30/60/90 min.)

Trigger Point Therapy Massage

Painful, irritated areas in muscles are worked using concentrated finger pressure on specific contact areas to break the cycle of spasm and pain. Often an entire area (trigger points) can be relaxed with the release of the various trigger points. (60/90 min.)

Sports Massage

Pre & Post Sports events. A firm massage that will aid in relieving sore, tired muscles; it incorporates a number of techniques and active assisted stretching to relax the muscles and increase range of motion, improving circulation and relieving tension. (30/60 min.)

Foot Reflexology

A 4,000-year-old technique that focuses on the feet, an area which contains reflex points that correspond to all of the organs in the body. This extensive foot treatment relieves stress, revitalizes and rejuvenates. (30 min.)

Pre-Natal Massage

It’s a comforting massage focused especially for expectant mothers 3-8 months. Pre-Natal massage improves overall spirit, mind, body and emotions. Specifically for swelling, aches and pains, especially back pain. (30/60 min.)
