Green Valley YMCA Fitness Programs
We offer several health and fitness programs that include karate, exercise classes, and personal training. The Green Valley fitness center has a variety of cardiovascular, free weight and and circuit machines to help you get in shape and stay in shape. Our trained staff are also here to help guide and motivate you. Members receive an orientation on the equipment upon request and are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this service. Cardio Kick Box
This fast paced high energy all-over body workout is for ages 14 and up. Class includes non-contact kicking and punching mixed with general physical fitness, and is taught by a certified karate instructor.
Youth Karate
This program is for children 7-11 years of age who want to develop character, discipline and self confidence. They also learn stretching, fitness, balance and coordination and the foundation needed for proprer self defense training.
Teen/Adult Karate
This program is for those 12 and over who are interested in self defense, fitness, balance and coordination. No previous experience is required. Our school is part of the Phoenix Karatedo Association, an international Kyokushin Organization. We offer belt advancement and participation in local tournaments. Students from other martial arts styles are always welcome. Uniforms can be purchased through the instructor.
Personal Training
Whether you’re a competitive athlete or just need to lose a few pounds, our personal trainers can help you achieve your goals. Their expert advice and personalized attention can provide you with the edge to overcome obstacles such as motivation and fitness plateaus. Ages 16 and up.
