The Oracle
Exhibition in Gallery 115 at the Y Arts Center from September 15 through October 31, 2024 with a reception being held Saturday, October 5 from 3-5pm.
“The Oracle creates a space to make time for reflection. The installation features handwritten queries, collected over time, in my practice of reading Tarot cards. The geodesic dome armature supports a network of print and graphite neuro-eyes and the hand-written questions, collaged onto on large triangular canvas panels. The dome is 16 ft. in diameter, and 10 ft. tall. The interior is a curated space with gentle colored light. Here we can tap into the inner spaces of our mind and write down a question to be considered with a personal Tarot card reading. Our search for answers in contemporary life is complicated in an environment with a constant media vortex. The ability to unplug in an age of hyper-distraction and look inward may be more important than ever.”
