South County Family Y UPDATE

The South County Family YMCA will be fully open at 9am Friday, April 9, 2021! Members are welcome to come in and work out, swim, or take a group exercise class. (Reservations required for aquatics and group exercise. Please visit the Schedule section of our website or from within the Frederick County Family YMCA app.) We will continue providing tours for potential members and we will be hosting an Open House, Saturday and Sunday, April 10 & 11 from 10am-4pm.

We want to ensure we provide everyone with timely updates. As such, we would like to give an update on the South County Family YMCA construction.
We know many of you are patiently waiting for the opening of this new facility, as are we! We have inspections tomorrow (Wednesday) and anticipate an announcement Thursday about the opening date and time.

We wanted to update you on the progress of the South County Family YMCA. We have been hard at work getting everything ready for opening day, from unpacking all the supplies to setting up furniture and lots of deep cleaning.
Unfortunately, there has been a slight delay with a few of the last construction items and we will not be opening on Monday, April 5, but are hoping to open one day next week! Thank you for sticking with us and we truly can’t wait to welcome you to the new facility.
Please remember as a member of the YMCA of Frederick County, you can visit either location, the South County Family Y or the Downtown Y. So if you just can’t wait to get your wellness journey started, you’re welcome to visit the Downtown Y!
Final reminder, Spring Session II registration does open Monday, April 5 for members (Friday, April 9 for potential members). You can register for spring programs including sports and swimming online or in person at either branch location.
