A Safe, Fun Place for Kids
The Fun Zone offers supervised play and enrichment for children while parents use the Y. Designed for ages 3 months to 10 years—with dedicated spaces and activities for younger and older children—Fun Zone provides an engaging, safe environment led by trained staff. Children explore hands-on toys, imaginative play, age-appropriate movement, and social interaction in a welcoming space that reflects the Y’s commitment to supporting families.
What Families Can Expect
Fun Zone provides a comfortable, nurturing environment where children can play, explore, and build confidence while caregivers focus on wellness. Staff create experiences that encourage creativity, social interaction, and active play, supporting children’s physical and emotional well-being.
Ages & Activities
Children explore age-appropriate play areas that foster imagination and movement. Infants and toddlers enjoy sensory toys and soft play spaces, while preschoolers and elementary-age children can engage with building sets, games, crafts, and a climbing structure (ages 5–10). Staff encourage cooperative play and positive interactions so children feel supported and included.
Safety & Supervision
Fun Zone is fully supervised during operating hours, with staff trained in child engagement and safety protocols. Parents and guardians must remain onsite at all times. The Y follows secure drop-off and pick-up procedures, and children may stay for up to 2 hours per day. (Reservations required for ages 3–23 months due to limited space.)
Accessibility & Support
The YMCA works to ensure every child feels welcome and safe. If your child has unique needs or would benefit from additional support, staff are available to discuss accommodations and help create a positive experience. Parents are encouraged to communicate any concerns or preferences with the team.

Parent's Night Out - PNO
Need a night off? Let the Y take care of the fun! Parent’s Night Out is a monthly event at the Downtown and Natelli Family Y for kids ages 5-10. Children enjoy a fun-filled evening with games, activities, dinner, treats and a movie – all while parents take a well-deserved break.

How Fun Zone Works

Check In
Parents sign in children at the Fun Zone desk. Youth ages 10 and under must be signed in by a parent or guardian who remains onsite.
Play & Explore
Children enjoy supervised play, age-appropriate activities, and opportunities to build social and motor skills in a safe, engaging environment.
Pick Up
Parents return to pick up children within the 2-hour limit. Staff ensure secure and smooth checkout procedures for every family.
