Dance for All Ages

Our dance programs provide a safe and encouraging space for dancers to explore movement, master skills, and express themselves. Classes are structured to support each child’s individual pace while fostering community and confidence.

Classes for Every Level

We offer a wide variety of dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and creative movement. Each class is designed with age-appropriate instruction and opportunities for both beginners and experienced dancers. Sessions emphasize proper technique while ensuring students stay engaged and have fun learning.

Students begin with age-appropriate basics that teach balance, rhythm, coordination, and body awareness in a fun and engaging environment.

As dancers progress, they explore new skills, proper form, and expanded movement vocabulary across a variety of dance styles.

Through practice, encouragement, and positive guidance, students develop confidence and pride in their accomplishments on and off the dance floor.

Dance FAQ

We offer programs for children of various ages, with classes grouped appropriately to support learning and development. Please check the class list for age requirements.

No experience is required. We offer beginner-friendly classes as well as opportunities for more experienced students to grow their skills.

Comfortable, form-fitting attire is recommended. Some classes may request specific footwear such as ballet or tap shoes, which will be noted at registration.

Many sessions conclude with an informal showcase so dancers can share what they’ve learned with friends and family.

Non-members may participate at a higher program rate. YMCA members receive discounted pricing and additional benefits.
