Florence Alfano McEwin of Wyoming writes,

“The lore of the fairy tale is embedded within childhood. I consider in a subversive manner within the series Red Riding Hood Speaks male-female interactions using a playful twist of feminine empowerment that envisions life after Red Riding Hood and the Wolf have set up a household together and are dealing with 21st-century tensions and daily, relational politics. They reflect and counter the lore of my surroundings and social mores of the western USA.”
