Child Care Subsidy Levels Increase!

Child Care subsidy levels have increased dramatically through the Maryland State Department of Education.  This will allow more families to qualify for Purchase of Care (POC) vouchers.  For example, a family of 2 with a maximum income of $48,637 now qualifies for assistance.  A family of 4 with a maximum income of $71,525 now qualifies for assistance.  This represents a substantial increase from the previous fiscal year.  All of the information can be found on the following website:

Interested families can also call Child Care Central at 1-866-243-8796 for additional information.

All YMCA child care programs are eligible to accept POC vouchers.  This includes the Early Learning Center at both the Downtown Y and the Green Valley Y as well as the Before and After School Enrichment (BASE) program located at various Frederick County Elementary Schools.
