Chair Yoga Added To Our Schedule!

If you’ve always wanted to do Yoga, but were afraid you couldn’t get down to the floor, let alone back up again—good news! The Downtown Y is adding two new Chair Yoga classes to its schedule. Check the fitness schedule for days and times. While many of the same beginning postures (asanas) will be taught, Chair Yoga makes use of a chair for a prop to create ease and stability in your practice. Practice of breathing, standing and seated stretches, as well as twists will be taught. Chair Yoga is great for participants with limited mobility (unable to get down/up from the floor) or those recovering from an injury/surgery. Chairs will be provided. Due to limited space, registration is required but the class is FREE to members.  Classes will be offered on Thursdays from 7:20-8:10 pm and Saturdays from 10:20-11:20 am in the Staley Building.
