Step 1: Register online or in person
To register online:
Visit camp.frederickymca.org to register for camps. NOTE: The required Health Form needs to be submitted 3 weeks prior to the beginning of selected camp weeks. (Or at time of registration if within the 3 weeks.)
To register in person:
All participants may register at the member services desk in the Downtown Y on North Market Street in Frederick or the Green Valley Y on Fingerboard Road in Monrovia.
Step 2: Complete Health Form
Once registered, you will receive a link via email from CampSpace/PlayerSpace to create an account in our new camp software. Three weeks before the beginning of the 1st registered week of camp, it is required to complete all necessary camp forms including Emergency Contacts/Authorized Pick-ups; Medical History; Waivers; Receipt of Camp Parent Handbook. Incomplete forms may result in an inability for your child to attend camp. The Camp forms must be completed online. Please note that complete and accurate forms are a Maryland State Licensing requirement.
Parents/caregivers who completed forms in CampSpace/PlayerSpace in 2019 will have the opportunity to update information from 2019 before signing and submitting. Please note – In person registration must be completed for the following camps:
- B.A.S.E. Summer Fun Camp
- Kids Unlimited registration must be done in person.
- Preschool Adventure
All medication, including any over-the-counter, requires an additional form signed by a Physician and must accompany the medication when it is checked in by Y staff at camp.

Interested in working with children? The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is designed to give teens the opportunity to gain valuable life skills through a work-like experience. The focus of the program is hands on learning, promoting teamwork, and providing a positive, safe, and fun camp atmosphere.
The CITs will participate in skill development and team building workshops, as well as spend time assisting camp counselors in a specific group as assigned by the camp director. The CIT will have opportunities to assist with the overall implementation of activities and supervision of campers, while maintaining a positive, encouraging, and motivation attitude towards all summer staff, campers and activities.

The deadline to submit a CIT application, for returning and new candidates, is March 31. CIT’s will be chosen by April 30.
