DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, March 11\, 2023\nNatelli Family Y\n9:00 am – One Mile Run/Walk\n9:20am – 5K and 10K run\nEveryone receives a finisher medal\nAWARDS:\nOverall Male and Female for both the 5K and 10K runners. First place runners in each age group\, male and female. Age groups: 10 and under\, 11-14\, 15-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70+\nAll participants that register prior to February 10\, 2022\, will receive a race shirt with their desired size. After February 10\, 2022 race shirts are first come first serve until the supply runs out.\nRace shirts are first come first serve. When registering\, please enter your correct size. If your size is not available you will be alerted to choose another size or “no shirt”. SUMMARY:IF: Improvisers Forum Concert Series
DESCRIPTION:IF: Improvisers Forum Concert Series\nFrederick Experimental Music Association\, Inc. (FEMA) announces its first concert series – IF: Improvisers Forum – beginning October 15th at the Frederick YMCA Arts Center in Frederick\, Maryland. Funded by a grant from the FAC/National Endowment for the Arts Create and Activate Now (CAN) program – and curated by author\, critic\, and Frederick resident\, Bill Shoemaker – IF features internationally renowned improvising musicians performing as duos. \nConcerts will begin at 8pm at the Frederick Y Arts Center\, located at 115 East Church Street\, with doors opening at 7:30. Suggested donations are $10\, with free admission to children and students with ID. \nPending future mandates in Frederick\, wearing masks is recommended\, but not mandatory. Seating will be arranged to facilitate distancing without diminishing the concert experience. \n\nTaylor Ho Bynum\, cornet\, and Jacqueline Kerrod\, harp \n Taylor Ho Bynum: One of the more accomplished under-50 improvisers and composers in the US\, cornetist Taylor Ho Bynum has led ensembles varying from sextets to 15-piece orchestras on 20 critically acclaimed recordings. He is the director of the Coast Jazz Orchestra at Dartmouth College. He contributes to The New Yorker. \nJacqueline Kerrod: Harpist Jacqueline Kerrod has toured internationally with NEA Jazz Master Anthony Braxton. She has performed with such renowned contemporary music ensembles as the International Contemporary Ensemble. She has a Masters of Music and Artist Diploma from the Yale School of Music.
