Class designed for children wanting to explore a wide variety of sports and activities.\nGymnasium \n10:15-11am\nPedaling for Parkinson’s\nThis class is specifically designed for participants 30 years and older who are diagnosed with Idiopathic Parkinson’s Disease (PD.) Studies have shown that pedaling a bicycle at a rapid pace\, optimally\, 80-90 revolutions per minute can reduce symptoms of PD by 35% and even slow the progression of the disease. This class will be led by our own instructor\, Kim Spletter\, who also suffers from PD. Members and guests are welcome but please reserve your spot.\nStudio B \n10:15-11:15am\nYoga\nMembers and guests are welcome but please reserve your spot.\nStudio A \n10:30-11am\nThera-Walk\nSpecialized walking exercises benefit those who suffer from physical or neurological challenges such as MS\, Parkinsons’\, spine issues\, and arthritis. SUMMARY:46th Annual Alvin G. Quinn Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:The YMCA Hall of Fame Committee hosts an annual banquet to welcome new members to the YMCA of Frederick County’s Alvin G Quinn Sports Hall of Fame. The event will be held at New Spires Arts in downtown Frederick (15 W Patrick Street). \nEach year we recognize individuals who\, through their accomplishments and contributions in the field of athletics\, has brought honor to self and to Frederick County. Alvin G. Quinn was the Executive Director of the YMCA of Frederick County from 1919 to 1960. No individual has ever had such an impact on so many of the area’s young people during his 40 year career as did Mr. Quinn. \nPurchase tickets for your family and friends. The 46th Annual Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on January 28\, 2022 at 6:00pm.
