Back for a return engagement in our LunchBreak series, Dr. Larry Romane, a 35-year veteran of Emergency Room medicine, will test our knowledge of facts vs. myths and the role of the media when it comes to familiar, everyday things like processed meats, aspartame, saturated fats. He’ll give us the facts and the evidence — which may surprise us — and clue us in on a quick method that lets us become medical detectives at home. Since retiring, Dr. Romane has continued his work in medicine, serving for five years as a physician-volunteer at Mission of Mercy, a traveling free clinic for the uninsured. He also has devoted four years to teaching and writing “R U Medically Curious?” courses and books for laymen.
