2018 Frederick Sprint Triathlon

Event Details

NEW FOR 2018!

We have added a DUATHLON to our YMCA FREDERICK SPRINT TRIATHLON for men and women ages 14 and up.  The event takes place at Middletown High School, Middletown, MD and is for all exercise/sport types from the very beginner to the competitive athlete.

Once again, our Triathlon/Duathlon event is “Tri-ing for a Cause” in support of Parkinson’s disease and the dramatic relief of symptoms individuals achieve by cycling. At the Y we offer Pedaling for Parkinson’s cycle classes twice a week in an 8 week program. The cycle class is taught by Kim Spletter, a cycle Instructor and Personal Trainer who was diagnosed with Parkinson’ s seven years ago.  Today Kim continues to teach the Pedaling for Parkinson’s class and continues personal training her clients with huge success.
