What is the M. Robert Ritchie Circle?
Those individuals who choose to give to the Endowment Fund through the Heritage Club at levels of $20,000, $30,000, $40,000 or $50,000 over a designated period of years are gratefully recognized as members of the M. Robert Ritchie Circle, in memory of this faithful supporter of the Y and generous community entrepreneur.
What is the LEGACY SOCIETY?
Those individuals who choose to name the Y as a beneficiary in their will, bequest or other investment instruments, are gratefully recognized as a member of the Legacy Society. Planned gifts include:
- Bequests through wills
- Naming the Y as a beneficiary of retirement plans
- Naming the Y as a beneficiary of insurance policies
- Living trusts
- Charitable trusts
Your financial/legal advisor can help you decide which vehicle is best for you and your own unique circumstances. To receive more information and discuss a Legacy gift please contact: Tom Clingman at firstname.lastname@example.org
What types of gifts could I give?
We know that members of the YMCA Foundation choose to give to perpetuate their values and that their gifts say something about who they are and how they want to be remembered. Therefore, options are available to meet individual circumstances. A thoughtful individual invests personal assets carefully. Charitable contributions should receive the same care. Here are some of the ways in which you can make a significant expression of your commitment to our Y.
- Giving or pledging $10,000
- A gift of appreciated securities
- An outright gift of property
Can I designate my gift for a specific purpose?
Yes, many donors choose to leave their gift unrestricted to allow the Y governing board to direct the earnings where the need is greatest. However, any gift pledged to the YMCA FOUNDATION has specific options to which you can designate your funds: (1) unrestricted, (2) temporarily restricted, or (3) permanently restricted.
