Green Valley Child Care

The Green Valley YMCA offers licensed preschool and full-day child care programs. In all programs, children follow a theme-based curriculum that stimulates intellectual growth and emphasizes socialization skills. Children enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, science and nature projects, story time, and outdoor adventure. A nutritious snack and milk/juice are provided daily.

Before & After School Care

Our before & after school program offers a safe, enriching and fun before and after-school environment for your child throughout the calendar year. Kids Club is available for children attending first through eighth grade. Our program operates from 6:30 a.m. until the regular school day begins, and after school from school dismissal until 6:30 p.m. We serve children from Green Valley Elementary, Urbana Middle & Windsor Knolls Middle Schools. The program is held at the Child Development Center at the Green Valley YMCA. Transportation is provided by the Board of Education, except for students from Urbana Middle, who will be transported to the Green Valley Branch by YMCA bus. On days that school is closed due to inclement weather, we do provide child care at the Green Valley YMCA for an additional fee.

Fees

Please note that beginning in the fall of 2012, we will be switching from a weekly payment plan to a monthly or semi-monthly payment option for our before & after school care program.

Full Day Child Development Center

Our full day child care program is for children ages 6 weeks – age 4 and for 5 year olds not yet enrolled in kindergarten. Our program contains a preschool component as well as activities to promote fine, gross, and sensory motor development. Parents provide a packed lunch daily, a pillow and blanket for rest time, and an extra set of clothing. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Our infant and toddler program is for children ages 6 weeks to 2 years and is designed to meet the individual needs of your child. Our staff will work with your child through each stage of development. Children participate in activities to promote fine, gross and sensory motor development. Each child follows an individualized plan established by teachers and parents.

Full-Time (4-5 days)

Infants 6 weeks – 2 years:
$240/week members
$265/week non-members

2 Year Olds:
$170/week members
$195/week non-members

3, 4 and 5 Year Olds:
$160/week members
$185/week non-members

Wee R 2’s and 3’s Preschool

Our Wee R 2’s and 3’s program is for children aged 2-3 years. They do not have to be potty trained to attend.

Hours: M/W/F 9:00am – 11:30am
Fees: $140/month members, $165/month non-member

Hours: T/TH 9:00am – 11:30am
Fees: $105/month members, $130/month non-members

Peanut Pals preschool

Peanut Pals is a preschool program for children who are 4 and 5 years of age. Classes meet from 9:00 am to 11:30 a.m.. Children do not have to be potty trained to attend

Please note that all of our child care programs require a non-refundable $25 registration fee.
