Frederick Community Learning Centers

The YMCA collaborates with Frederick County Public Schools to offer special grant-funded after-school programming for selected elementary school students at Lincoln, Hillcrest, and Waverley Elementary Schools. Free enrichment programs, taught by YMCA instructors, include such classes as dance, performing arts, art, sports, fitness, and karate.

Judy Hoyer Centers

The YMCA, in partnership with a Judy Hoyer Grant, subsidizes and provides quality child care for 35 children ages 3-5 whose parents couldn’t otherwise afford child care. We run this program at Waverley Elementary and Hillcrest Elementary schools. The majority of the families being served are at or below poverty level.
