Campaign for Kids

Every parent longs to give their child the best of everything, filling their day with enrichment, smiles and happiness. What if, despite your best efforts as a parent, you could not provide for your children in the way that you would like? What if you needed a little help? Who would you reach out to?
The Frederick YMCA turns no one away for an inability to pay. The YMCA currently provides thousands of people with financial assistance for childcare programs as well as other essential services. But there are more children in need, children you can help! We ask that you invest in the children and families of Frederick County by making a donation to the YMCA’s Campaign for Kids. 100% of your donation goes directly to help those in need.

Giving Through the United Way

The YMCA of Frederick County is a proud member of the United Way of Frederick County. When you give to the United Way – be sure to designate your donation to the YMCA (Agency #25!)

Please contact our Office of Charitable Giving at donate@frederickymca.org or (301) 418-6552 to find out how you can contribute through payroll deduction with your employer.

The YMCA Foundation

The YMCA Foundation was established in 2009 to support the endowment fund of the YMCA of Frederick County.

Donations to the YMCA endowment fund are not intended for current spending; rather they are invested and the YMCA will benefit from future earnings from those investments. Investment income that is not used is reinvested back into the fund. Corpus funds would only be used in cases of extreme circumstances through action of the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Frederick County.

Making a gift to the endowment fund is one of the most significant gestures of support for our mission that an individual or family can make to the YMCA of Frederick County.

Your gift to the endowment fund helps make our community a safe and healthy place for children and families for generations.

The YMCA Foundation has two giving clubs; the Heritage Club for donors who have pledged at least $1,000 per year for ten years and the Legacy Society for those who have made a planned gift to the YMCA.
